Q1 Conference Highlights: Sharing Information & Engaging in Industry Dialogue

It’s hard to believe but the first quarter of 2015 has already come and gone and now it’s May! Looking back on these past few months, one thing that really stands out is the wide variety of conferences in which Sanofi participated. Overall, conferences are great opportunities to share information and advance discussions on topics of interest with our peers and the public.

In case you missed them, below is an overview of some of these conferences and highlights from the social media conversation around each of them. I hope you’ll take a look back with us and learn more about our perspective on these important topics.

Anne BealAt the Patients as Partners conference in March, Dr. Anne Beal, our Chief Patient Officer, delivered a keynote presentation on patient centricity and her work to infuse the patient perspective into all of our activities. If interested, you can also read more here about Dr. Beal’s role at Sanofi and some of her previous industry presentations.

 

David MeekerDr. David Meeker, Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, Genzyme, delivered a keynote speech at the Institute of Medicine Conference in January, where he shared his perspective on investing in unmet medical needs for neurological disorders. Also of note, Dr. Meeker discussed Genzyme’s commitment to improving care during the Harvard Business School – Healthcare Conference in February.

Gary NabelDr. Gary Nabel, Chief Scientific Officer and Ebola Response Coordinator, participated in the MIT Enterprise Forum in January and the Harvard Medical School’s Ebola Forum in March, where he addressed the Ebola outbreak and efforts to move experimental vaccines and medicines for this virus disease into clinical practice.      

Greg IraceGreg Irace, Senior Vice President, Global Services, participated in the Healthcare Leadership Council’s “Summit on Healthcare Value and Innovation” in March as part of the National Dialogue on Healthcare Innovation (NDHI) initiative. Here on Speaking of Sanofi, Greg shared some initial thoughts with us prior to the summit, as well as some key takeaways afterwards.  

Tony MuslinDr. Tony Muslin, Vice President, Head of Cardiovascular and Fibrosis, presented at a Stanford Cardiovascular Institute Seminar in March, sharing his expertise on cardiovascular drug discovery today.

  Elias ZerhouniDr. Elias Zerhouni, President, Global R&D, participated in the J.P. Morgan 33rd Annual Healthcare Conference in January and the Cowen Annual Healthcare Conference in March. At these events, Dr. Zerhouni discussed Sanofi’s anticipated product launches and the overarching role of R&D in the execution of our strategy.

Paul ChewDr. Paul Chew, Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Medical Affairs, gave a presentation about Sanofi’s growth and innovation at Barclays Global Healthcare Conference in March.  

Guillaume LeroyGuillaume Leroy, Vice President, Dengue Vaccine Head, Sanofi Pasteur, participated in a panel discussion about innovative business models for tackling infectious disease at the BIO Investor Conference in February.
